Moving is a difficult and stressful experience, so we do all we can to make the process as simple and painless as possible for you. We handle all of the heavy lifting and the tricky stuff, its what we do. We offer safe and secure packing meaning all goods are fully insured, so you can rest assured that your belongings are in safe hands, even if the worst was to happen.
We use Luton 3.5 ton vans on pretty much all our house moves which are big enough to deal with the job at hand but help keep costs down in comparison to 7.5t ton trucks that come with bigger overhead expenses. We usually send one van twice or two vans at the same time, depending on distance and customer requirements.
We also offer storage solutions for those who need to store their belongings long term or short term between house moves.
Our Man and Van service is a great way to reduce to overall cost of a move If your budget is tight or if you're moving single or multiple items. If you already have the manpower to complete the move but just need a van, an extra set of hands to help load and drive, this is the service for you. Based on an hourly rate, making it simple and cost efficient.
Our Man and Van services is the best way to move things locally, its convenient and available on short notice. Its great for single bulky items that wont fit in a car such as white goods, sofas, sheds etc. If you've bought a couch on Facebook and need it collecting, or you need a B&Q store collection and a lift home, or you want to move furniture between relatives houses.
Moving across the country can be a daunting task, but we are here to help. Long distance moves across the UK require a lot more consideration than the average across town move. Our team of movers has the experience and expertise to ensure that your long-distance move goes smoothly from start to finish. Long distance moves take longer on the road, so we keep you updated at all times in case of unavoidable traffic or delays, so you're always in the loop.
It could be you are moving due to employment, to be closer to family or for a fresh start. Whatever the reason, we move family homes all year round but any planned long distance move should ideally take place during the summer months if it is possible to do so. If you have children, this will cause far less disruption to their schooling and attendance. Also there is much more daylight and the days are longer, so you can get far more done during this time.
Office and business removals service involves the process of moving an entire office or business from one place to another. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as relocation or expansion. Either way this can be a challenging task, especially when you consider the amount of items that need to be moved, including furniture, electrical equipment, documents etc.
We are flexible with times during your commercial and office removal. Ensuring your trading hours, appointments, meetings etc remain uninterrupted. Working after opening hours and weekends is not an issue, our dedicated removals team will work around you to avoid any downtime.
Although not necessary we would always recommend a home survey for house moves, if time allows. This means when getting a quote we can calculate the space and time required, helping eliminate unexpected costs and hiccups on moving day. At the survey we will discuss all your needs from distance, timing and packing requirements. Smaller moves can be quoted easily and more accurately over the phone than a typically bigger move, this is because there is less time and labour to calculate.
On average home surveys take around 15 to 30 minutes and are arranged at a time to suit you. After we have completed the survey, we can give you an exact quote and not a estimated cost. Alternatively we can give a remote quote over the phone, contacting us by WhatsApp to send us pictures, videos or videos call is also a great way to help visualise the job at hand and quote correctly for it.
We can handle all your packing needs making sure all your items are secure and well protected. Everything packed by us is fully insured during packing and transit, as we can account for items condition and log the contents as we pack. We usually start packing 1 to 2 days before the scheduled moving day. Remember to leave any essential items to one side that you don't want us to pack such as: toiletries, medication and clothes needed before moving day. We work closely with our customers to make sure all your needs and any special requirements are met.
If you are self packing we cannot guarantee the same security of the contents of these boxes. As we haven’t visually seen or accounted for the items boxed or the condition they were in before we arrived, it means these boxes and contents will be uninsured. All other unboxed visible items such as furniture will still be insured, as we can visually account for the condition before hand
If you're self packing, make sure to label boxes of their contents and the room they will need placing in at the new home. Doing this will make your move easier and more efficient as it allows us to places the goods in the correct room. Then when the time comes to unpack you know all the contents of each individual box, organisation is the key to a successful move.
Furniture dismantling and reassembling all your furniture, from one property to another in the middle of a move, can be a challenging task for the best of us. Trying to keep track of bolts and tools, making sure everything goes back together as it should, is a headache you don't need. We can take care of the dismantling and rebuilding of any furniture you require, ensuring that on moving day at your new house you have a bed to sleep on, table to eat off, desk to work on from home etc
King size beds, big wardrobes, cabinets etc requires patience and expertise to dismantle ensuring the furniture remains the same condition as it once was in your old home, when relocated to your new home and reassembled.
If you do require furniture dismantle and reassemble as part of your move all you need to do is let us know how many large items you have and what they are. We can then plan for this and make sure your move goes smoother.
There are many things that could potentially get overlooked on moving day if not planned out properly. If you have ever moved house before you know how stressful it can be, especially if you have to hand the keys back by a certain date and time while also getting the house back into handover condition not wanting to default on a security deposit.
Packing in an organised fashion is not to be underestimated, it helps greatly on moving day for us and for you. If you're self packing, make sure to label boxes of their contents and the room they will need placing in at your new home. Doing this will make your move easier and more efficient as it allows us to places the goods in the correct rooms and you know exactly what you're unpacking from each box when the time comes.
Moving home is a fresh start for many and not wanting to pack the things no longer wanted, is a realisation most immediately have when starting the moving process.
Many will agree moving home almost forces you to declutter, so be careful to not leave it too late. People often forget about the things they have stored d away in the shed or garage and often only realise how much stuff is actually "rubbish" that they don't want to pack and bring along into their new home. Although we can help with this, it's best to get rid of all the rubbish before hand to avoid hiccups and headache on moving day.
